Beginning a new year is always a good time to take stock of our physical surrounds along with our ideas about where we are headed. Tidy up a little, rearrange things to create a new look, or have a big clear out and you’ll most likely feel fresh and ready to do some planning for the year ahead.
One of the key times to look at Feng Shui is before February each year.
The energies change at this time and we can prepare and ensure we are ready to undermine the effects of the bad energies. This year the Five Yellow which can cause setbacks and obstacles, arrives in the South. It is recommended that you hang a metal wind chime there and other metal objects, especially if it is an important area such as an entry. It is a difficult area this year because of the ‘Three Shars’ also. Avoid the disruption of renovations and noisy activities. The other star is number 2, symbolizing sickness which flies to the NW this year. The traditional symbol is a string of six metal coins and a metal gourd if it is a bedroom. Avoid using red and other fire objects here.
Another energy to prepare for is the ‘Grand Duke’. Start building in his direction and he’ll make it difficult. So avoid ‘moving earth’ in the north and if possible, don’t face him directly. The cure is Pi Yao or a dragon headed tortoise, which can be placed in the south, facing north. It is also wise to avoid conflict and robbery by placing a little red and metal in the West this year such as a metal coin ball with red tassles. And avoid scandals with a bamboo plant in water in the SW.
This is a general summary which you can apply even if you have not had Feng Shui done on your home or office. And if I have already given you a consultation, you can always call me to check on which cures will best be suited to your particular circumstance.
